April Timko is an associate in the law firm of McDermott Will & Emery LLP based in the Boston office. April is a member of the Firm's Health Law Department.
Before joining McDermott, April worked as a summer intern with the Massachusetts Division of Insurance. There, she researched and wrote memoranda on issues such as reinsurance intermediary licensing requirements, ERISA preemption of state statutes, and a variety of health insurance issues including a proposed technical corrections bill to and implementation of Chapter 58 of 2006, a Massachusetts health insurance statute.
While at the Boston University School of Law, April served as the Co-Managing Editor of the Journal of Science and Technology Law. In addition, in the summer of 2005 April worked as a research assistant for two intellectual property professors.
April was a Dean's Scholar and recipient of the Dean's Award in Health law.
April is admitted to practice in Massachusetts. |
