Ms. Carlisle is an associate in the Dayton office of Taft Stettinius & Hollister LLP. She received her undergraduate degree, graduating summa cum laude, from Columbia Union College, master's degree from Andrews University, and law degree from Chicago Kent College of Law. Prior to beginning her legal career, Ms. Carlisle served seventeen years for nonprofit hospitals in the areas of risk management, patient relations and pastoral care. She provides a full range of corporate legal services, including working with boards and medical staffs, and is experienced in all aspects of health care transactions and contracts in light of business, regulatory and accrediting standards. Ms. Carlisle is experienced in dealing with physician contracting and credentialing, managed care contracting, practice acquisitions and divestitures, and physician recruitment. She provides advice in matters regarding HIPAA, EMTALA, fraud and abuse, the False Claims Act, Stark, TBR2, private inurement, anti-kickback, and other compliance issues. She can assist in the defense of health care audits and investigations, provide legal guidance in governance matters, and assist in IRB and end-of-life legal issues. Ms. Carlisle is a member of the Dayton and Ohio State Bar Associations, and the American Health Lawyers Association. She also is a member of the firm's Professional Women's Resource Group (PWRG). |
