Archbold van Beuren was appointed Senior Vice President, President-Global Sales, and Chief Customer Officer in November 2006. Archie oversees all of Campbell's sales teams, including those in North America, Europe, and Asia Pacific. He reports to Douglas R. Conant, President and Chief Executive Officer.
Archie joined Campbell in 1983. Prior to his current appointment, he was President-Campbell Away From Home, Canada, Mexico and Latin America. From 1998 to 2004, Archie served as President-Godiva Chocolatier, a Campbell subsidiary that is the leading global manufacturer and retailer of super-premium chocolates.
Archie's Campbell career started in the company's Beverage business unit. From 1985 to 1990 he held marketing roles in the Frozen Foods division. From 1991 to 1994 Archie took on leadership roles in Campbell's U.S. Soup division, culminating in his role as Business Director of Campbell's Red & White condensed soups. In 1994, he moved to Campbell's International Division as Vice President for Global Soup Marketing with responsibility for developing Campbell's soup brands and marketing capability outside of the U.S. He then moved to Europe as Managing Director-Campbell's U.K. Grocery Division, based in King's Lynn, U.K.
Archie serves as a director of Bissell Inc., the Taft School, and the Philadelphia Orchestra. He earned his bachelor of arts degree in 1979 from Yale University and his M.B.A. degree in finance from Columbia University in 1983. |
