Arlan Yoder has served as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for Via Christi Health System since 1998. He is responsible for VCHS' finance, treasury, and capital asset planning functions. Yoder's career with VCHS dates back to 1982 when he joined CSJ Health System as director of finance. In 1988 he was promoted to Vice President, Fiscal Affairs and Chief Financial Officer. Following the 1995 merger of the health systems operated by the Sisters of St. Joseph of Wichita and Sisters of the Sorrowful Mother that created VCHS, Yoder became Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for VCHS' Regional Affiliates, which included hospitals and senior care facilities outside of Wichita. He moved into his present position in 1998.
Prior to joining the CSJ Health System and Via Christi Health System, Yoder was the CFO at Mennonite Hospital in Bloomington, Ill., and St. Anthony Hospital in Hays, Kan.
Yoder received his Master of Business Administration from Fort Hays State University and his Bachelor of Business Administration from Wichita State University. He has also completed the Corporate Financial Management Program at Harvard University's Graduate School of Business. He is a Certified Public Accountant and a Fellow in the Healthcare Financial Management Association. In 1991, Yoder received the Cain Brothers/Modern Healthcare Outstanding National Healthcare CFO Award. He has published articles in Healthcare Financial Management journal.
Yoder serves on the boards of directors of Via Christi Senior Services, Salina Regional Health Center and Mercy Regional Health Center all within VCHS. He also serves on the boards of Consorta, Chicago, Ill., MMA, Goshen, Ind., and Hesston College, Hesston, Kan |
