Armando Zagalo de Lima is president of Xerox Europe for Xerox Corporation, Stamford, Conn. He was named to this position January 2004. He is also a corporate senior vice president, appointed February 2006. He has been a corporate officer since July 2000.
Zagalo de Lima is responsible for managing the company's multibillion-dollar European operations, driving business activity in nearly 20 countries. Xerox Europe headquartered in Uxbridge, U.K., markets Xerox's products, solutions and services throughout Europe.
Zagalo de Lima joined Xerox in Portugal in 1983. Following several sales and marketing positions in Portugal, he was named national sales manager for Xerox Belgium in 1990 and general manager of Xerox Belgium in 1993. In 1996 he moved to the U.K. to become director of the Xerox Technical Centre in Welwyn Garden City. This site had product and software development units, provided technical and software support, and was the solutions development competence centre. In 1997 he was appointed general manager of Xerox's Southern European entity, covering operations in Italy, Spain, Portugal and Greece. In 2000 he was named deputy managing director of Xerox Europe with responsibility for its global document solutions and services group.
Most recently he was senior vice president and chief operating officer for Xerox Europe, responsible for industry operations, geographic field operations and concessionaires.
Zagalo de Lima earned a master's degree in information technology and electronics engineering from the Technical University of Lisbon. He can speak Portuguese, English, French, Spanish and Italian. |
