Armando Ya�es, General Manager, Planning and Finance, Chief Financial Officer and Compliance Officer, CANTV. Mr. Ya�es was appointed to his current position in July 2000. Prior to that time he served in various capacities at GTE since 1976. From 1995 to 2000, Mr. Ya�es served as Chief Financial Officer in GTE China and from 1993 to 1995 as Controller in Compa��a de Tel�fonos del Interior (CTI) in Argentina.
