Arnold R. Maxick, CPA, is director of client services for Freed Maxick & Battaglia, CPAs, PC. As client services director, Mr. Maxick's responsibilities include planning and supervising audit and review engagements; corporate, federal and state tax planning; and system analyses for manufacturing, wholesale, retail and service industry clients. In the past ten years, he has been involved in consulting for troubled companies, which included arranging new financing, product line analysis, set up cost controls, and building new management teams. Mr. Maxick has the overall responsibility of the firm�s not-for-profit and governmental accounting department. He has been involved in setting up charitable lead and remainder trust and endowment funds for charitable organization fund raising. Mr. Maxick has spent over 25 years working with a government contracting company. His responsibilities have included installing an accounting system to comply with the government accounting standards and the Federal Acquisition Regulation System (FARS). He has represented the company on audits by the Federal Government including: the DCAA and IRS, prime contractor audits and multiple state compliance and income tax audits. Mr. Maxick is a member of both the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Buffalo Chapter of the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants. As a leader in the community, over the years Mr. Maxick has taken an active role in many charitable and civic organizations. He is currently on the Board of Directors and holds the following offices: Institute for Jewish Philanthropies, Treasurer; Weinberg Campus, Treasurer; and Westwood Country Club, President. |
