Arnold Barba is an associate in the Firm's litigation department. Mr. Barba's practice includes all areas of complex business litigation. He has worked on matters concerning breach of contract, torts, transportation issues, securities and financial services, trademark and patent, constitutional law and white collar defense. He was a Judicial Extern for the Honorable Harry Pregerson, U.S. Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals in 1997, and began his law firm career at Morrison & Foerster, before joining BWCA. Mr. Barba served in the United States Marine Corps Reserves from 1989-1995 as a Sergeant and was meritoriously promoted to the rank of Corporal and decorated with the Navy Achievement Medal. Mr. Barba is fluent in Spanish. PROFESSIONAL AFFILIATIONS AND AWARDS Mr. Barba was admitted to the State Bar of California in 1998. He has been recognized for his pro bono work by the ACLU and was recipient of the ACLU Foundation of Southern California Pro Bono Civil Liberties Award in 2000. He was Alumnus of the Year in 2004 of La Raza Law Student Association, UCLA School of Law. EDUCATION Mr. Barba graduated from UCLA School of Law in 1998 and was a Mexican American Bar Foundation, and La Raza & Chicano Latino Law Review Scholar.
