Arogyaswami Paulraj is the Chief Technology Officer and Co-founder of Beceem Communications Inc. and is a pioneer in MIMO wireless technology. Paulraj is a professor at Stanford University, where he supervises the Smart Antennas Research Group. Prior to Beceem, Paulraj founded Iospan Wireless Inc., which was later acquired by Intel Corp. He is the author of two text books and more than 350 research papers and is an inventor on 30 U.S. patents. His U.S. recognitions include the IEEE Technical Achievement Award and several IEEE best paper awards, and is a member of the U.S. National Academy of Engineering. Paulraj has also won more than a dozen national awards in India and he is a fellow of several professional bodies including the Indian National Academy of Engineering and the IEEE. Paulraj serves on several company advisory boards, university councils, and government committees in the U.S. and India. |
