Mr. Sonnenblick is currently a Senior Managing Director of the Company. He served as President of Sonnenblick-Goldman Company from 1978-1987 and CEO from 1978-1995. He is a member of Urban Land Institute and International Council of Shopping Centers.
Prior to joining Sonnenblick-Goldman in 1959, he was a home builder in Pompano Beach, Florida. He has lectured at the Urban Land Institute; Practicing Law Institute; International Council of Shopping Centers; National Association of Home Builders; New York Chapter American Institute of Appraisers; Columbia University, Fordham University and New York University. From 1979-1983, Mr. Sonnenblick was a Partner and member of the Board of Lehman Brothers. He is a past President of the Mortgage Bankers Association of New York and a past member of the Board of Governors of the Real Estate Board of New York. He is a member of the Board of Directors of Alexanders, Inc. and an Honorary Member of the Board of Trustees of the Educational Alliance. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and served in the United States Navy as a Lieutenant Junior Grade from 1953-1957.
