Experience:
Ashley is a restructuring, bankruptcy and insolvency lawyer with extensive experience advising banks, borrowers, bondholders, insolvency practitioners and other key stakeholders, particularly in relation to 'big ticket' transactions. Ashley has taken a leading role in some of the most high profile UK and European insolvencies and restructurings of recent years including advising the PPP administrators of Metronet, the bondholders of the Eurotunnel Group as well as the lenders to the Courts group and subsequently its administrators. He is currently advising the joint receivers of Golden Key Ltd. (in receivership), a structured investment vehicle.
Ashley has also advised on insolvency related aspects of a range of securitisations and project financings and has experience of non-performing loan portfolios and solvent reconstructions.
Ashley joined the London office of Mayer Brown in 2008. Prior to that he was with another major London firm.
