Dr. Legasto has been involved with government and the academe for over 25 years, serving various agencies and organizations. He was Secretary General of the Ninoy Aquino Movement International from 1980 to 1985. He served as president of the National Home Mortgage and Finance Corporation for two years. He was also president of the Citizens� National Network against Poverty & Corruption until 2005. He is currently the president of SVI ISI Computer Services Inc. and a board member of GMM Habitat for Humanity. He taught graduate and undergraduate courses in prominent US educational institutions, namely: Rutgers University, Columbia University and City University of New York. He earned his AB in Mathematics from the Ateneo de Manila University, his MA in Operations Research from Yale University in Connecticut and his Ph.D. in Management Systems from Columbia University in New York. He also has certifications in System Dynamics from Massachusetts Institute of Technology and in International Housing Finance Systems from the Wharton School of Business, University of Pennsylvania. |
