Dr. Haller has over 16 years of experience in molecular virology and molecular genetics, including scientific management of viral vaccine programs at Aviron (MedImmune). At MedImmune Vaccines, Dr. Haller directed the development of Bovine Parainfluenza Virus Type 3 as a virus vector to generate novel childhood vaccines for respiratory syncytial and human parainfluenza viruses. Dr. Haller received her Ph.D. in Biology from the University of California, Irvine studying the molecular determinants of the poliovirus internal ribosome entry site element, and completed her post-doctoral training at Stanford University working on cellular cap-independent translation mechanisms. Dr. Haller has authored numerous publications and several patents on live virus vaccine development. |
