Barbara is a Senior Managing Director of Cliffwater LLC. Prior to forming Cliffwater in 2004, Barbara was a Managing Director and principal of Wishire Associates from 1996 to 2004 where she had responsibility for operational and administrative management of the investment consulting and funds management divisions that provided services to large institutional pension funds and endowments/foundations. She began her career with Chase Manhattan Bank where she worked in corporate finance in Africa, France and the U.S. She also worked for the investment management subsidiary of Northwestern National Life Insurance Company originating and structuring private debt securities. In 1992, Barbara worked in Bankers Trust Defined Contribution Services area in operational management and business/system redesign, and was responsible for client management for a number of major public and corporate plans. She earned a BA in Anthropology from Smith College and a MA in International Economics and Relations from the Johns Hopkins School for Advanced International Studies. |
