Mrs. Braman has an exemplary 33-year career with the School District of Philadelphia serving as a high school English teacher, high school assistant principal and principal, regional superintendent, cluster leader, and central office administrator charged with the responsibility of restructuring of alternative education throughout the district. In these positions, Mrs. Braman administered and supervised programs for complex organizations; provided support and supervision to 34 schools; monitored instructional programs for more than 30,000 students; worked with parent and community organizations, prepared, allocated and managed multi-million dollar budgets; and authored successful grant proposals that provided millions of dollars for needed program improvements. Recently, Mrs. Braman supervised the grant writing and marketing divisions in her capacity as Vice President for Institutional Advancement of Foundations, Inc., a 501(c)3, and served as an advisor to the University of Pennsylvania as they planned, along with the Philadelphia School District and the Philadelphia Federation of Teachers, a new public elementary school to serve the needs of the West Philadelphia community. Ms. Braman holds a Bachelor of Arts from Immaculate College; a Master of Arts, a Master in Education and Secondary Principal Certification from Temple University; Elementary Principal Certification and a Superintendent's Letter of Elegibility from University of Pennsylvania. |
