Barry M. Granger is vice president and general manager for DuPont Imaging Technologies. Imaging Technologies is one of the four strategic business units within DuPont Electronic & Communication Technologies. Mr. Granger joined DuPont in 1987 at the Chambers Works manufacturing site in Deepwater, N.J.
He has held various positions in manufacturing supervision and business management in DuPont. In 1990, he became product manager in the Performance Products business unit. In 1993, Mr. Granger transferred to Houston, Texas, and became operations manager, Gulf Coast region for DuPont Environmental Remediation Services. In 1995, he was appointed sales and marketing manager for Basic and Intermediate Chemicals. In addition, he assumed product management responsibility for methylamine products. In 1996, Mr. Granger was executive assistant to the chairman and CEO, and the office of the chief executive members. He was also assistant secretary of DuPont and secretary to the Strategic Direction and Environmental Policy Committees of the Board of Directors. In 1998 he was named business director for Cyrel� Packaging Graphics Products. In June 2001, the Cyrel� Packaging Graphics Products and DuPont Color Proofing businesses were combined to create a new strategic business unit, DuPont Imaging Technologies, which Mr. Granger continued to direct. He was named to his current position in November 2002.
Prior to joining DuPont, Mr. Granger was with the Dow Chemical Company from 1981 to 1985. He held various assignments in manufacturing at Dow Chemical's Freeport, Texas, division.
He received his bachelor's degree in chemical engineering from South Dakota School of Mines and Technology in 1981. In addition, he received his master's degree in business administration from Indiana University in 1987. He is active in many community activities and is a board member of Salesianum High School and several non-profit agencies. His hobbies include weightlifting, racquetball and listening to jazz music.
