BARRY W. BRAUN, CPA, is a Partner in GR's Accounting & Auditing Division. His experience in providing financial guidance to family-owned and closely-held companies has earned him a reputation as a respected and requested business advisor. Barry began his career at GR in 1978 as an audit partner. In July 2000, Barry was elected Managing Partner. During his tenure at GR, he has served on the Firm's executive and compensation committees, as well as serving as CFO and Managing Partner. He has built a large practice serving primarily manufacturing and distribution companies, printers and publishers, law firms and high wealth individuals. Under Barry's leadership, many programs have been implemented to assure GR's successful growth, to deliver excellent client service, and to strengthen industry-niche expertise while aggressively positioning the Firm in the market place. To achieve GR's goal to be recognized as the best CPA firm in the Delaware Valley serving middle-market companies, Barry initiated a firm-wide "Good to Great" program. Adapted from concepts presented in Jim Collins' book, this program has become an integral part of the Firm's ongoing strategic plan. Barry is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and PKF North American Network. He currently serves as a charter member of the Fox School of Business and Management's Board of Visitors. Barry is also on the Board of Directors for the National Liberty Museum, where he chairs the Finance Committee. Barry is a graduate of Temple University's Fox School of Business. He is not only one of the university's Alumni Hall of Fame members, but also a guest lecturer for Temple's Fox School of Business. In 2004, Barry was granted the Musser Award for Excellence in Leadership from Temple University's Fox School of Business and Management. The Musser Award honors outstanding achievement and service by a distinguished member of the business community and is the highest honor afforded by the school.
