Barry Henderson directs the development and rollout of Web-enabled/browser-based solutions for ISS Retail. Since joining ISS Retail and establishing the company's San Diego office in 1997, he has served as the project manager and application architect for the integration and roll out of many successful projects. Currently, he is involved with several customer projects utilizing ISS Retail's new Enterprise Retail Services (ERS) for both in-store and e-retail business requirements. Henderson successfully piloted ISS Retail's mobile POS application, TouchPointMobile, with a tier-one retailer. Leveraging his resourceful retail business and technology expertise, he discovered the business need for ISS Retail's latest patent-pending technology, SmartPoint. Because of his creative excellence in leveraging the standardization, the cost of POS hardware has dropped significantly in an expedited timeframe saving Retailers on an average of 45-60% in total cost of ownership. At present, Henderson is spearheading ISS Retail's effort to bring SmartPoint technology to market as a tactical component of ISS Retail's "Retailing on Demand" product offerings. Henderson began his computer retail technology career at Post Software International (PSI) after graduating Summa Cum Laude from North Carolina State University with a BS in Computer Science in 1986. At PSI, he was directly involved with major POS, Back Office, and ISP projects with several key retail companies. He transferred to San Diego in 1992 as a part of the PSI/ICL retail division merger. After the ICL (Fujitsu) acquisition of PSI, Henderson led the retail group in the San Diego and Minneapolis locations. |
