Ben H. Harris, III practices complex civil litigation, specializing in securities litigation, and litigation involving financial institutions. He has handled litigation in many states around the country, as well as in the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico. Additionally, Mr. Harris assists companies and educational institutions interested in developing trade and other relationships in Cuba, and has traveled to Cuba on several occasions for that purpose. He was born in Killeen, Texas and received his undergraduate degree University of the South. He earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Alabama, where he was Order of the Coif and received the Dean M. Leigh Harrison Award. He served on the Editorial Board of the Alabama Law Review from 1987 to 1989. He was admitted to the Alabama State Bar in 1989 and served as law clerk to the Hon. Patrick E. Higginbotham on the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit 1989-90.
