Ben Grubbs Biography :

Transactions:

Ben Grubbs was picked with the 29th-overall selection in the 1st round of the 2007 NFL Draft..."I'm excited," said director of college scouting Eric DeCosta. "He's one of my favorite players in the draft. He's just a great player. As a guard, I think he's one of the top players in the draft. If it weren't for the fact that he was a guard, I think he'd be really one of the elite guys in terms of playing ability, durability and intelligence. He was a consensus player. When I say that [I mean] all of the scouts and coaches really felt very, very good about Ben. He passed every single test - fall scouting, the all-star games, the Combine, everything we wanted in the past he passed with flying colors."...Grubbs was the top rated interior lineman on the Ravens board, and is the 1st player the Ravens have selected from Auburn, and the 2nd lineman tabbed in the 1st round in franchise history (Jonathan Ogden, 4th overall - 1996).
