Benjamin Stock is a public law attorney in our Oakland office. His litigation and transaction practice emphasizes municipal law, construction, land use and eminent domain. Ben is currently working on a water rights lawsuit on behalf of the City of Rohnert Park. He also is assisting the City of Emeryville in an eminent domain action to redevelop highly contaminated property for mixed use commercial and residential development. Ben also provides special counsel services to the Cities of Pacifica, Livermore, Moraga, Calistoga, Tracy, Sunnyvale and Berkeley.
Ben also is the General Counsel for Eastern Contra Costa Transit Authority. As General Counsel, he participates in the monthly Board of Director meetings and assists staff on day-to-day legal issues. Ben previously served as the Assistant City Attorney for the City of San Ramon.
Prior to joining the firm, Ben also had experience as a clerk with the City Attorney for the City of San Rafael and interning with the Environmental Protection Agency.
He is a graduate of the University of California, Hastings College of the Law, and received his B.A. degree from U.C. Berkeley.
