Mr. Jeffers is a member focusing on complex commercial litigation. He joined Dykema in 1997 and is a member of the firm's Recruiting Committee.
Experience
Mr. Jeffers has experience in complex business disputes for both plaintiffs and defendants, at trial and appellate levels of state and federal courts, as well as other forms of alternative dispute resolution. His practice focuses on commercial matters and class actions, with a particular emphasis on automotive OEM/supplier disputes, antitrust and other unfair trade practice claims, and franchise and distributorship cases. Mr. Jeffers also has significant expertise with insurance company insolvencies and insurance guaranty fund laws. He has successfully represented clients in many areas of litigation, including:
Numerous class actions, including antitrust and unfair trade practices, petroleum marketing, equipment leasing, and environmental contamination claims
Automotive (OEM, Tier 1 and Tier 2) pricing and supply disputes
Insurance company insolvencies, guaranty fund issues and other insurance coverage and indemnity disputes
Warranty and product defect claims
Environmental issues, including CERCLA, common-law nuisance, and toxic tort claims
