Bernard LeSage is a Shareholder in the Firm's Los Angeles office and is Chair of the Firm's Litigation Department. He focuses his practice in the areas of complex business and financial institutions litigation, class action defense and Unfair Competition.
Mr. LeSage has been active with various bar associations including serving as the President of the Los Angeles County Bar Barristers, President of Loyola Law Alumni and President of the State Bar Breakfast Club. He has also served as an officer and trustee of the Los Angeles County Bar Association, the Association of Business Trial Lawyers as well as the Los Angeles Bar Foundation and is a member of the Chancery Club.
He has also led various community and local government organizations including serving as Mayor of the City of San Marino, Chairman of Town Hall Los Angeles, Vice Chair of the Los Angeles Chamber of Commerce Law and Justice Committee, Chair of the L.A. 2000 Task Force on Law and Justice and President of the Notre Dame Club of Los Angeles.
He is one of 2008 Southern California Super Lawyers.
Mr. LeSage received his B.A. from the University of Notre Dame in 1971 and his J.D. from Loyola Law School in 1974. He also worked as an extern law clerk for Justice William P. Clark of the California Supreme Court.
He is a frequent lecturer and author on such topics as enforcing discovery, trial tactics and jury instructions. His published articles for the University of California Continuing Education for the Bar include:
