Mr. Aronson 60 was elected a Director of the Company in 1998. Mr. Aronson has been Managing Partner of ACON Investments LLC a private investment vehicle since 1996. He served as International Advisor to Goldman Sachs & Co. from 1993 to 1996 and as Assistant Secretary of State for Inter-American Affairs from 1989 to 1993. Mr. Aronson also served as Deputy Assistant to the President of the United States Executive Speechwriter to the President and Special Assistant and Speechwriter to the Vice President from 1977 to 1981. Mr. Aronson is also a director of Global Hyatt Corporation a hotel operator; Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. a global cruise company; and Mariner Energy Inc. an oil and gas exploration and production company. Mr. Aronson also serves on a number of not-for-profit boards including the Center for Global Development the National Democratic Institute for International Affairs and Freedom House International. Mr. Aronson's current term as a Director expires in 2009. |
