Bernard Nivollet is Vice President and Managing Partner, Unisys Global Financial Services for Continental Europe. He joined Unisys in September 2002 and was appointed President of Unisys France on January 1, 2003.
Bernard started his career in 1977 with the French Ministry of Finance as a staff member within the Forecasting and Economic Modelling Department. He then joined the French Embassy in Washington D.C. as Financial Attach� in charge of Economic Research.
He was staff member of the International Monetary Fund (I.M.F.) in Washington D.C. and became a specialist in stand-by arrangements, country debt rescheduling and balance of payments issues. His assignments included countries in Eastern Europe, Asia and Africa.
After several years, Bernard came back to Paris and was appointed as Chief Operating Officer of Cr�dit Municipal de Paris. In 1988 he became C.O.O. of Banque Internationale de Gestion et de Tr�sorerie, an Asset Management and Capital Markets Bank. During this time, he also was Chairman of an insurance company and was co-founder and Chairman of Effix Systems, a financial software company eventually sold to Reuters.
Bernard joined Ernst & Young Consulting as Partner leading Global Finance Services and as a member of the Global Financial Services Worldwide Steering Committee. When Ernst & Young Consulting merged with Cap Gemini in May 2000, he was named Global Account Executive for Axa and Vice President of Cap Gemini Ernst & Young Global Financial Services Executive Team.
Bernard has published numerous works on finance and international economics, among which most recently The Art of Finance, The Passageway towards the Year 2000, Martingales and Butterfly Effects, and Toward an European Financial Capitalism. |
