From October 2002 to early December 2003 Ms. Bernard served as President of AT&T where she led more than 50 000 employees within AT&T Business a nearly $27 billion organization serving the needs of 4 million business customers. From April 2001 to October 2002 Ms. Bernard led the 12 000 employees of AT&T Consumer. Prior to joining AT&T Ms. Bernard held senior executive positions with Qwest Communications US WEST and Avirnex Communications Group. She appears for the third consecutive year on Fortune Magazine�s list of "50 Most Powerful Women in Business " where she currently ranks 12th. Ms. Bernard joined BearingPoint�s board of directors in March 2004 and also serves on the boards of United Technologies Corp. (NYSE: UTX) a global technology company serving the building systems and aerospace industries URS Corporation (NYSE: URS) an engineering and technical services company and The Principal Financial Group (NYSE: PFG) a global provider of retirement savings investment and insurance products and services company.
