As the president of LPL Financial Independent Advisor Services, Mr. Dwyer is responsible for setting strategic direction for the management, satisfaction, retention, and recruitment of the firm's independent advisors. His oversight ensures that they receive the programs, services, and support they need to run successful practices. Mr. Dwyer manages several departments within Independent Advisor Services, including business development, branch development, advisory services, compliance, marketing, sponsor relations, and product marketing functions, as well as LPL Financial subsidiary and affiliated broker/dealer companies, including the Private Trust Company, Mutual Service Corporation, Associated Securities Corporation, and Waterstone Financial Group. Over his 15 years at LPL Financial, Mr. Dwyer has led the independent advisors' business success and their contributions to the firm's significant growth culminating in becoming the largest independent broker/dealer with over 10,000 independent financial advisors. Prior to joining LPL Financial in 1992, Mr. Dwyer spent eight years as an investment representative at various firms. He has served on the Board of Directors of Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Massachusetts Bay since 1999 and has held the position of executive vice chairman since 2001. He also serves on the Private Client Services Executive Committee of the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association. He holds a Bachelor of Arts from Boston College and holds Series 3, 7, and 63 licenses. |
