Bill LeBlanc, Chief Technology Officer and Co-founder Bill LeBlanc has built his career around finding, creating and developing new ways to make networks smarter and more capable. After more than 14 years in technology research and software development, he now holds 18 patents and four more patent-pending inventions pertaining to firewall, server load-balancing and TCP/IP technologies. Bill has a long working relationship with many of Steelbox s other senior managers. Two of the attributes that attracted Bill to Steelbox are the team s commitment to innovation and their ability to bring new approaches rapidly to market. That intense focus and deep integrity makes his work enjoyable. He knows how to translate their common experiences and values into a structured, progressive organization that delights in finding new ways to solve old, intractable problems. An avid motorcyclist and bicyclist, Bill has learned how to balance technology, performance and endurance. These traits have driven much of his career, including published articles in the journals of the ACM SEC and the International WWW Conference. In addition to founding Steelbox, Bill was also a co-founder and Technical Lead of Engineering at Pharsalia Technologies, Inc., which is now part of Nortel Networks. |
