Mr. Stensrud brings over 35 years of engineering marketing expertise to SightSpeed. He started his career in research positions for MIT developing data communications systems until 1974. Since then he's played major leadership positions in the telecom and technology sectors for companies such as AT&T, StrataCom (later acquired by Cisco), Primary Access and 3Com., where he was critical to the growth, initial public offering, and acquisition of several technology companies. Transitioning to private investing and venture capital, Mr. Stensrud played a critical leadership role in Juniper Networks' initial business formation and their leveraged buy-out of Paradyne Corp from Lucent Technologies. He continues to serve on the board of Directors of Juniper. As a General Partner for Enterprise Partners, he invested in communications equipment, software, and services industries. He is now a private investor. Mr. Stensrud's family includes his wife Carol and their three children. He has served on the Board of Scripps Health, the Neurosciences Institute, the San Diego Telecom Council, the University of California at San Diego Foundation and the National Venture Capital Association and is a past President of the San Diego Opera. |
