Though I started at Malloy on a full-time basis in 1981, I spent several summers, beginning in 1976, working as a helper in Malloy's bindery, a text stripper in Malloy's layout department, and an estimator. Though much of what I learned during those summers has become out-dated by technological changes, the lesson that has stuck with me is how demanding the work in our production departments is in terms of both the knowledge and physical energy required.Prior to coming to Malloy full-time, I earned a BA degree from Williams College in 1979 and an MBA from the University of Michigan in 1981. Since 1981, I've served in a number of positions at Malloy, including Customer Service Representative, Sales Representative, Customer Service Manager, and Vice President of Manufacturing, before becoming President in 1998. |
