He has more than 25 years' experience helping entrepreneurs launch, finance and grow business ventures. Most recently, Bill was a partner in the Seattle office of Holland & Knight, where he served as the firm's national corporate team leader. In 1995, he co-founded the Van Valkenberg Furber Law Group, a boutique corporate finance and securities firm specializing in early-stage private equity, venture financings and business transactions. Earlier in his career, Bill practiced with Bogle & Gates in Seattle for 17 years, including 12 years as a partner in the Corporate Finance and Securities Group. He also worked for three years at the Securities and Exchange Commission in Washington, D.C. A former Chairman of the Business Law Section of the Washington State Bar Association, Bill is admitted to practice in Washington State. He earned a bachelor's degree in economics from the University of Washington and a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Utah College of Law, where he was articles editor of the Utah Law Review. |
