Blake Hutcheson is the President of CB Richard Ellis Limited, the Canadian arm of CB Richard Ellis, Inc. In addition to his responsibility for the overall operations of the company, Mr. Hutcheson heads up the Investment Properties division, is the Chairman of the Canadian Board of Directors, and Regional President of the CB Richard Ellis operations in Latin America and Mexico. Professional Experience Blake Hutcheson joined CB Richard Ellis in 1994 as a principal of the company. In 1997 he was appointed Chief Operating Officer and added to his earlier responsibilities the job of overseeing all investment sales nationally, and managing all day-to-day aspects of CB Richard Ellis across Canada. In 1999 he was made President of the company and continues to lead the Canadian operation with approximately 550 employees operating out of fourteen offices. In 2001 he also became Chairman of the Canadian company and Chairman of the CB Richard Ellis operations in Latin America and Mexico. Prior to joining CB Richard Ellis, Blake was Director of Development with CIBC Development Corporation. From 1984 to 1987, while at the Hutcheson Group of Companies, he was the principal of a family-owned aggregate, construction, and development company. He remains a principal in this enterprise. Achievements Named one of Canada's Top 40 Under 40 for 2000 by Caldwell Partners and The Globe and Mail Newspaper. Was instrumental in the formation of O & Y CB Richard Ellis Facility Management Services, a joint venture focused on corporate real estate outsourcing and CREX, a joint venture focused on real estate data collection and dissemination. Has led the team of CB Richard Ellis professionals on some of Canada's most high profile investment transactions including Toronto's Exchange Tower and the 47 asset Prudential of America Canadian portfolio Mr. Hutcheson is married to Susan Farrow Hutcheson and has two children, Camille and Trevor. |
