A pioneer in the fast-growth, highly competitive wireless industry since the late 1970s, Bob Johnson is recognized as an innovator of programs and processes that revolutionized the cellular industry. He has extensive experience building and leading results-driven companies of all sizes, as well as managing major acquisitions. At Sotto, he is responsible for overseeing daily company operations including sales, marketing, customer services, field operations, human resources, and development. Most recently Bob served as Executive Vice President of National Customer Operations for AT&T Wireless (formerly McCaw Cellular). He was responsible for delivering over $15 billion in revenue while building and maintaining a 21-million customer base. He led a distribution network with more than 1100 retail stores, a business sales channel of 1600 sales associates, and 26,000 indirect retail locations. He also had responsibility for leading and building a customer service organization with more than 14,000 representatives that was rated tops in the industry for customer satisfaction while maintaining best-in class-operating costs. He also served as President of the Aviation Communications Division at AT&T Wireless and Vice President of Mobile Operations for McCaw. Bob holds a B.S. in Business Marketing and an M.S. in Business Administration from Indiana University. He also is a graduate of the Executive Management Program in Telecommunications at the University of Southern California. Active in community affairs, Johnson has held leadership roles on a number of boards including the Seattle-King County American Red Cross, Seattle Sports and Events Council, and Greater Denver Chamber of Commerce. |
