Bobby J. Griffin is President of International Operations of Ryder System, Inc., a Fortune 500 global transportation and supply chain management solutions company. He is responsible for the development and leadership of Ryder�s global operations in the Supply Chain Solutions business segment including sales and customer relations. Additionally, Mr. Griffin is responsible for profitability and operating performance of Ryder operations in Mexico, Canada, Europe, Latin America and Asia. He is a member of Ryder�s Executive Leadership Team. Prior to this appointment, Mr. Griffin was Executive Vice President of Global Supply Chain Operations, serving the Company�s key industries. He has also served as Senior Vice President of Field Management West. In that position, he was responsible for Ryder�s Western U.S. network of Customer Business Units and Logistics Business Centers, which are organized regionally by line of business, and service more than 7,000 Ryder customers, as well as for over 450 Ryder Service Centers. Mr. Griffin previously served as Vice President of Operations for Ryder Transportation Services where he was responsible for Ryder Transportation Services� customer operations in the Eastern United States. He served as Vice President and General Manager of ATE Management and Service Company, Inc. (ATE), and Managed Logistics Systems, Inc. (MLS), operating units of the former Ryder Public Transportation Services, a position he held from 1993 to 1997. Ryder/MLS was the nation�s leading non-government provider of municipal fleet management and maintenance service. Mr. Griffin was Executive Vice President of Western Operations of Ryder/ATE from 1987 to 1993. He joined Ryder as Executive Vice President of consulting at ATE in 1986 after Ryder acquired ATE Management and Service Company. Prior to this, he served as Deputy Director General for the ATE/DMJM joint venture of the Saudi Arabia Public Transportation Company. He joined ATE in 1973 as an associate, providing route, scheduling, marketing and planning expertise for transit systems throughout the United States and globally. Mr. Griffin earned a master of arts degree in Urban Economic Geography at the University of Cincinnati and a bachelor of arts degree in Geography at Morgan State University. In 2003, he was listed among the Most Distinguished Black College and University Graduates by US Black Engineering & information Technology magazine. Mr. Griffin is a member of The Executive Leadership Council. |
