Bradford S. Goodwin joined us as a director in January 2007. Mr. Goodwin is currently a director of PDL BioPharma and until its sale in early 2007 he was also the Chairman of the Board of CoTherix, Inc., a public-traded company focused on pulmonary arterial hypertension. From 2001 to 2006, he was Chief Executive Officer and Director of Novacea, Inc., a publicly-held biopharmaceutical company focused on in-licensing, developing and commercializing novel therapies for cancer. Prior to Novacea, Mr. Goodwin was President, Chief Operating Officer and Founder of Collabra Pharma, a company focused on pharmaceutical product licensing and development. Before starting Collabra, he held various senior executive positions with Genentech, Inc., including Vice President of Finance. After becoming a CPA while working as an auditor at PricewaterhouseCoopers, he served on expert advisory committees of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Financial Accounting Standards Board and the International Accounting Standards Board. Mr. Goodwin holds a BS in business administration from the University of California, Berkeley. |
