Brad Schwartz is the founding partner of Strategic Law Partners, LLP. He has extensive experience in corporate and securities law matters, mergers and acquisitions, and public and private financing. He was admitted to the State Bar of California in 1985. Prior to the founding of Strategic Law Partners, LLP, Mr. Schwartz was the Senior Vice President and General Counsel of Quarterdeck Corporation, a publicly held technology firm, where he was responsible for mergers and acquisitions and debt and equity financing, as well as advising the board of directors. Previous to that, Mr. Schwartz was a partner at Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher, LLP, one of the country's leading law firms, where he spent ten years representing clients on mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance and corporate governance issues. He received his JD in 1985 from the University of San Diego School of Law, where he was first in his class and an editor of the Law Review. Mr. Schwartz has represented a wide variety of companies such as Idealab and various Idealab-related companies, The Prudential California Realty/Jon Douglas Company, PerkinElmer, Inc., Ticketmaster and Honeywell International. He has written and/or given presentations on topics including fiduciary duties to debtholders, merger transactions and stock options and other compensation plans. |
