Biography
Brandon T. Hurley joined Kelly Hart & Hallman in 1998 and is a partner in the firm�s Litigation practice group. He represents individuals, corporations, and other institutional clients as both plaintiffs and defendants in state and federal courts in a variety of business litigation matters. Mr. Hurley�s practice concentration has included professional malpractice claims, protection of companies� proprietary information and trade secrets, enforcement of covenants-not-to-compete, commercial contract disputes, business torts, disputes over corporate acquisitions, and real estate litigation. Mr. Hurley also has experience with construction disputes and municipal law matters. His past clients have included public and private companies, governmental entities, corporate officers, and individuals.
Mr. Hurley obtained his bachelor of arts, cum laude, from Austin College in 1995. He graduated magna cum laude in 1998 from Baylor Law School, where he also was Executive Editor of the Baylor Law Review in 1997-1998.
Mr. Hurley�s civic and charitable activities include volunteering for Habitat for Humanity, serving on committees for the Lena Pope Home, and performing pro bono adoptions for National Adoption Day. He also has been the firm�s coordinator for the Cowtown Brush Up, which helps spruce up the homes of elderly residents in Fort Worth, and serves on the firm�s business development committee. He was noted as a "Rising Star" in Texas Monthly magazine in 2006 and has written for and spoken at various continuing legal education events.
Mr. Hurley was also appointed by Texas Secretary of State Roger Williams to serve as an examiner of electronic voting systems in Texas.
Brandon and his wife, Debra, have two daughters. He enjoys golf, college football, and Texas history.
