Brendan Traw, 35, is an Intel Fellow and chief technology officer for Intel's Digital Home Group. He is responsible for the architecture of Intel's consumer PC and consumer electronics platforms. Previously, he focused on the management and protection of entertainment content in digital environments, leading the team which developed Digital Transmission Content Protection (DTCP), the basis for content protection in today's digital home networks, as well as a range of other content protection solutions for recordable DVD, DVD-Audio, SDcard, and the DVI/HDMI display interfaces.
A recognized leader across the computer, consumer electronics and content industries, he has published numerous papers and holds 12 patents in the areas of content protection, system architecture, and network security. Traw received his Ph.D. in computer information science from the University of Pennsylvania. |
