Brett focuses his practice on the defense of product liability, medical malpractice and general casualty matters. Brett has successfully represented clients in cases brought by individuals who have sustained permanent and catastrophic injuries where damages are alleged in the millions. Brett�s practice experience is primarily in Pennsylvania and New Jersey where he is licensed. He has also been involved in litigation in several cases in other states as Illinois, Florida, Virginia, California, Maryland and Ohio. Brett obtained his law degree in 1999 from Rutgers University School of Law in Camden. His undergraduate degree is in Philosophy from West Chester University in 1993. While at Rutgers Law, Brett participated in Moot Court and the Advanced Trial Advocacy Team. He also worked as an intern for the Honorable Sandra Mazer Moss, Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas and participated in an externship with the Civil Division of the U.S. Attorneys' Office in Philadelphia. Brett also participated in a one-year internship at the Chester County Public Defenders Office during his undergraduate studies at West Chester. After graduating Rutgers Law, Brett served a one-year Judicial Clerkship for the Honorable Joseph D. O'Keefe, Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas. At that time Judge O'Keefe was the Supervising Judge for the Complex Litigation Center which handles the mass tort program for Philadelphia County in addition to arbitration appeals and provided Brett with valuable experience and insight into the Philadelphia Court system. |
