Brett Ekins practices in the St. George office of Jones Waldo, representing clients in intellectual property matters and commercial litigation throughout Utah, Nevada and California in state and federal courts. Mr. Ekins has represented clients in high stakes litigation involving trademarks, patents, copyrights, and trade secrets. In addition, Mr. Ekins counsels and assists clients in the acquisition of intellectual property rights, and has extensive experience registering trademarks with the United States Patent and Trademark Office, including proceedings before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board. Mr. Ekins has also negotiated license agreements for clients. Mr. Ekins received Bachelor of Arts degrees in History and Russian from Brigham Young University in 1994 and a Juris Doctorate from New York University in 1997. He is admitted to practice in Utah, California and Nevada and regularly handles litigation matters for clients in all three jurisdictions. |
