Brett Clay has more than 17 years of financial accounting experience with 14 years as part of the managed health care industry. Mr. Clay has worked for Altius Health Plans since its inception serving as Director of Finance until being promoted to Chief Financial Officer in August 2007. During his tenure, Mr. Clay has led Altius� finance functions in all aspects of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning and analysis. Mr. Clay manages the risk and reserves for the health plan�s operations.
Mr. Clay has held the lead finance role interfacing with operations (claims, enrollment, accounts receivable) on system, policy, and process evaluations. Mr. Clay provides leadership for premium billing, producer relationships, treasury and cash management, capitation administration, cost recovery, coordination of benefits, subrogation, risk assessment, and internal auditing.
In addition to his health plan experience, Mr. Clay has held management positions with medical management companies overseeing multiple medical/dental centers. Mr. Clay has worked closely with physician and dental groups and developed a comprehensive understanding of the issues that face both plan administrators and providers in the health care industry.
Mr. Clay holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from the University of Utah and a Master of Business Administration Degree from the University of Arizona. |
