Experience:
Brian Newhouse is a finance and transactions attorney who works primarily with financial institutions. Brian represents clients in the context of leveraged finance transactions; extensions of credit to gaming companies; asset-based financings; construction financings; contested and negotiated change-of-control transactions; healthcare financings; mezzanine financings; compliance with state laws regulating lenders and lessors (e.g., one-action and anti-deficiency legislation, usury, rights of secured party under Article 9 upon default by debtor, etc.); and negotiation and documentation of private and public consensual debt restructurings, reorganizations and workouts.
Brian joined the Chicago office of Mayer Brown in 1982, moved to the firm�s Los Angeles location three years later and is now currently with the New York office. Previously, he held a senior position with another prominent law firm in the New England area.
