Brian J. Ratner is President of East Coast Development for Forest City Enterprises Inc. He oversees new commercial development east of the Mississippi River outside of New York and Boston. In addition Ratner is a member of Forest City's board of directors.
Ratner's experience with Forest City began in 1987 as assistant vice president of Forest City Finance Corp. He became president of Tower City Retail Inc. in 1993 and vice president of Forest City's Urban Entertainment unit in 1993. He assumed his current role in 1997.
Before joining Forest City from 1983 to 1987 Ratner was an associate with Preston Thorgrimson Ellis & Holman in Seattle.
Ratner is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers and the Urban Land Institute. He is Co-Chairman of the Board of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame & Museum serves as a trustee or on the boards of Downtown Cleveland Partnership and Jewish Community Federation.
Ratner holds a bachelor's degree from George Washington University and a law degree from the University of Puget Sound School of Law. |
