Mr. Tierney was elected to the Company's Board of Directors in February 2003. He is a nationally recognized expert in marketing and communications, an accomplished entrepreneur, and a veteran of several publicly traded corporations where he served as a senior officer. He is currently Chairman and CEO of Tierney Holdings, LLC. Most recently, Mr. Tierney was Vice Chairman and a member of the Office of the Chair at Advanta Corporation (NASDAQ: ADVNB). Prior to joining Advanta, he launched several successful advertising and public relations companies, including T2 Group and Tierney Communications, which he grew to $275 million in billings and sold to the Interpublic Group of Companies (NYSE: IPG). The firm remains one of the largest advertising agencies in the mid-Atlantic region. Mr. Tierney serves on the boards of several privately held businesses including Epitome Systems, Cadient Group and Global Affiliates, Inc., as well as numerous non-profit organizations including the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts, Thomas Jefferson University, Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce, The Episcopal Academy and the University of Pennsylvania Museum. |
