Representation of Creditors in Bankruptcy, Federal and State Courts; Workout of Problem Loans; Representation of Creditor Committees in Bankruptcy; Representation of Business Debtors in Bankruptcy and Insolvency; Commercial Real Estate Foreclosures; Commercial Collections; General Commercial Litigation; Bankruptcy Litigation. Although his practice is primarily focused on creditors, Mr. Walding also represents debtors in bankruptcy and insolvency scenarios. These clients are primarily distressed businesses in complex work out conditions. Mr. Walding focuses primarily on bankruptcy, workout and creditors� rights in all legal arenas. His practice leads to recovery for his clients through various means, including recovery and liquidation of real, personal and intellectual property. His clients are mainly creditors, including banks, other financial institutions and commercial entities. In addition to bankruptcy proceedings, Mr. Walding also handles collection actions in state and federal courts for various clients, including manufacturing concerns. He also is involved in various commercial litigation matters, mainly involving financial institutions. Representative Transactions: In re: Citation Corporation, et al., Bankruptcy Case No. 04-8130, United States Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Alabama (represented Official Committee of Unsecured Creditors in approximately $400 million bankruptcy proceedings). In re: John David Powell, 325 B.R. 6 (Bankr. N. D. Ala. 2005). Prior To Maynard Cooper: After finishing his engineering degree at Auburn, Mr. Walding worked as an engineer at a nuclear plant and as a computer programmer/website developer for a Fortune 500 company. While in law school, Mr. Walding served as an intern to the Honorable Edwin L. Nelson of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Alabama. |
