Mr. Koblenz has had more than 20 years of high performance computing experience in various technical and management roles. At Cray Inc, he served as Chief Technical Officer and Vice President of Technical Strategy. He was the Engineering Executive for the $100M Red Storm program to design and deliver a 10,000 processor system to Sandia National Labs. He also served as Vice President of Software Development and worked on the compiler and architecture for the Tera MTA. Prior to joining Cray, Mr. Koblenz was Principal Software Engineer at Digital Equipment Corporation. He was lead designer of Digital's high performance vector FORTRAN compiler and participated in the Alpha architecture and VAX vectorization efforts. Mr. Koblenz graduated with a B.S. Computer Science (Manga Cum Laude) from the University of Vermont and received his Masters in Computer Science from the University of Washington in Seattle. |
