Brian joined Pearpoint Ltd as Technical Director in 1993 and spearheaded the development of a 34 piece range of explosion-proof CCTV camera, tractor and light-head products for use in hazardous environments. He developed the traffic camera business and produced the �Blue roadside ANPR camera� for Trafficmaster, achieving over 5000 sales. Brian architected the 4channel P357 roadside ANPR recogniser with a novel hardware real-time platefinder (patent awarded). On the sale of Pearpoint he became a founding director of PIPS Technology Ltd in 2002 where within a month of start-up PIPS were awarded the TCC ANPR contract for the provision of the �Green roadside ANPR camera� with roadside recognition. The P362 was then developed as the first dual IR/Colour ANPR camera for mobile applications and since it has become the standard fit for police cars nationally. The P372 �Spike� integrated ANPR recogniser/camera (patent applied) is a world first in the ANPR industry. |
