Mr. Woram joined Centex Homes in 1995 as Regional General Counsel. He became Vice President and General Counsel in 1997 and was promoted to Senior Vice President and General Counsel in 1998. In January 2005 he assumed his present position as Senior Vice President, Chief Legal Officer and Chief Compliance Officer of Centex Corporation. Prior to joining Centex, Mr. Woram was with Locke, Liddell & Sapp for nine years as an associate and then as a shareholder. Previously, he was a Reservoir Engineer for Exxon Company, U.S.A. Mr. Woram holds a B.S. in mechanical engineering from Texas A&M University and a J.D. from The University of Texas at Austin. He is a member of the State Bar of Texas, Phi Delta Phi (Legal Honor Society), Pi Tau Sigma (Mechanical Engineering Honor Society), Tau Beta Pi (Engineering Honor Society), and a past member of the Texas Law Review. In addition, Mr. Woram has written articles on legal topics that have been published in the Banking Law Journal and in the Urban Lawyer. |
