Bruce has been with Pierce Atwood since 1967 and has served as Managing Partner since 1997. He has a general corporate and commercial practice, serving as general counsel to many Maine businesses. He has extensive experience in mergers and acquisitions and corporate and public finance. His experience includes representing buyers and sellers in major transactions both within and outside the state of Maine, representing lenders and borrowers in complex financial transactions, and acting as bond counsel for many public issuers within Maine, including the Cities of Portland and South Portland and the Town of Cape Elizabeth. Bruce is widely recognized for his proficiency in innovative financing techniques, and he has substantial experience in assisting companies in structuring and obtaining public financings for private projects. He has also been lead counsel in numerous tax increment financings throughout the state. |
