Bruce Bloomingdale is a securitisation and structured finance partner in the London office of Mayer Brown International LLP. He represents and advises leading financial institutions and corporates in connection with transactions covering a broad spectrum of asset classes, including multi-country trade receivables, intellectual property rights, whole business securitisation, insurance securitisations, lease receivables, and consumer loan receivables.
Bruce has become one of Europe's leading lawyers advising financial institutions and private equity sponsors in connection with securitisation bridges, securitisation take-outs, and opco-propco real estate-based transactions as a source of financing for the booming European LBO market. He is also active in developing market, conduit, and other structured vehicle, CDO, and principal finance transactions.
The depth and range of Bruce's experience is complemented by his in-depth knowledge of accounting considerations pertinent to securitisation. In conjunction with accounting firms, Bruce - who is a US-qualified Certified Public Accountant - recently co-authored and chaired a series of seminars entitled "Accounting for Securitisation Transactions under IFRS."
